Clay McKinney, MBA

President
Clay was born and raised in Hughes Springs, TX. He moved to Arkansas for college and graduated cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University in 2014 with a degree in Finance and Management. After undergrad, he completed his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2016. He married his wife, Emily, in October of 2016, and was a Financial Advisor for a Fortune 500 firm before joining Hatcher Capital Investments in November of 2018. He has multiple professional licenses: the Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health Insurance.
Clay and Emily live in Conway, and they have three children. They attend Fellowship Bible Church in Conway and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Walter was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and attended the University of Tennessee where he graduated Cum Laude.He worked for The Hatcher Agency in the employee benefits division from the beginning of 2018 to the end of 2021. After completing his series 65 exam, he transitioned to Hatcher Capital Investments as a financial advisor. He has maintained his health and life licenses to go along with his series 65.
Walter married his wife in 2017, and they live in Little Rock. They have four children. Walter enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and playing basketball, tennis, pickleball, and working out. He and his family attend Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock. He hopes to use his position at HCI to help those in his community with financial literacy and planning.

Matthew was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Arkansas. Matthew was an intern under Clay and Walter in the summer of 2023 and came back full time as an advisor in January of 2024.
Matthew and his wife Nora, have one child. On weekends, you are most likely to find Matthew on a lake, in the woods, or cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Kelly joined the Hatcher Capital team as an administrative assistant in April of 2025. Her knack for organization and creativity has already made a big impact in helping us provide the thoughtful, client-focused service we value so much.
Kelly is originally from Memphis, TN, and earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Harding University. After five years of teaching in public schools, she transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom and now homeschools her two oldest children. She and her husband, Harrison, live in Conway, AR with their three kids.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys tending her cut flower garden and experimenting with floral arrangements—perfectly fitting for someone who brings beauty and order wherever she goes.
