Hatcher Capital Investments was originally created to manage the Hatcher Family portfolio. We realized that many friends and associates wanted the same type of advice and counsel for their investments as well. Our goal is to create financial freedom for our clients by having a total financial and estate planning plan in place for their family and the generations to come.
Our Investment Philosophy
At Hatcher Capital Investments, our goal is to help you build wealth while minimizing risk. We do that in a couple of ways: indexed annuities and a diversified, cost efficient portfolio of exchange traded funds.
Warren Buffet’s #1 rule of investing is this: Don’t lose your money! Rule #2: Never forget rule #1. We don’t like to lose and we don’t like to see our clients lose. With indexed annuities, the insurance company guarantees your principal and takes on the risk. Check out “10 Reasons to Invest in Annuities” under the resources tab to read more about the advantages and disadvantages of indexed annuities.
Diversification allows you to spread your risk because you don’t have all of your eggs in one basket. When you look at the historical performance of each asset class and market sector, the leaders are not always the same. That is why it is important to own multiple types of investments. Exchange traded funds (ETFs) are a great, cost effective way to diversify your investment portfolio. These investments track specific stock indices, market sectors, and asset classes for just a fraction of the cost of a mutual fund. A well-diversified investment portfolio will have exposure to US equities, international equities, and fixed income, all depending on your comfort with risk.

Compounding interest is your best friend!
Example: A 30 year old married couple maxes out their IRA contributions for 10 years for a total of $120,000. If they don’t contribute anymore after age 40 and the average return is 10%, they will have almost $2,100,000 at age 65!
